The unusual architecture is the first feature that will be noticed in this 33 square meter studio apartment located in Prague's Zona Hradcany area. The second story of a family home in this quaint village has been transformed into a rustic wonder of serenity. Natural knotty wood covers the sloping walls and wooden beams and bricks highlight the space. The open concept accommodates 5 people comfortably and the view of the area is marvelous.
Every nook is filled with peaceful country designs and furnishings that welcome tired bodies from a day of sightseeing. A lovely lavender sofa bed occupies one corner with side tables, a wicker rocking chair and extra swivel chair for the perfect conversation gathering room. A large blue shag rug brings everything together along with the sheer-lined picture window of the area below.
In the opposite corner rests a platform double bed dressed in warm quilted pieces of flowers and calico. The TV is centered so everyone in the large room can watch satellite TV or get on the Internet with the Wi-Fi service. A large wardrobe made of pine separates the dining area and is large enough for storing lots of clothes and supplies. A coffee maker and fridge can be found in this nook along with a counter for meal preparation.
A separate bedroom area holds a double bed in a built-in wood surrounded platform with open space for setting books or beverages. The entire apartment is lined with a lightly colored gray and beige striped carpet that accentuates the knotty pine and dark wall beams. A large skylight beams sunshine into the entire space with a natural glow.
A modern bathroom can be found outside of the apartment and across the corridor. Very large and private, the colors of lavender and gray follow from the apartment but with a more upscale décor. A glass encased rounded corner shower has the latest in fixtures and a contemporary basin is surrounded by chrome and tile.
Everything is close to this rustic styled vacation apartment where public transportation is 10 minutes away. Ride a bicycle to receive the total effect of the beautiful country and find yourself in the heart of historic Prague with galleries, shopping and restaurants. One of the most visited sights is Prokops Valley where ancient caves and other natural phenomenon have occurred. Many fossils have been discovered in this area and are delightful to those interested in archaeology.
Prague is also known for historic landmarks and museums full of ancient collectables. Subways and buses are a convenient way to see it all and have a peaceful home to return to after a busy day. Small pets are allowed to stay but there is no smoking allowed. All linens and towels are provided as well as heaters to keep you warm on cool evenings.
